In most cases, an attorney may continue practicing law while a New York attorney grievance investigation is pending.
However, in serious cases involving allegations of fraud, misappropriation, or immediate risk to clients, the court or disciplinary authority may impose interim suspension or practice restrictions while the investigation is ongoing.
