Last week, a Florida Jury awarded $15 million in the wrongful death of a motorcyclist who was killed when he collided with the negligent driver of a tractor trailer.  The truck’s driver was fatigued, and had been driving in excess of his daily service limit of 11 hours.  It was later found that the truck driver only had eight hours of sleep in the 30 hours prior to the accident.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the hospital.

His family will receive the jury award for loss of support and services, pain and suffering, and funeral expenses.

There are 73,000 large truck injury crashes and more than 104,000 persons injured in these crashes every year.  Some are simply accidents, while others are the result of someone else disregarding the care and safety of those around them.

At LaMarche Safranko Law, we seek justice for clients and families injured and suffering a loss because of the negligence of someone else.
